Kicking Old Ladies in the Face for Jesus

Apparently this is the latest Christian revival location, like the Brownsville revival or the Toronto blessing.

Wow. i ended up watching most of the other Youtube clips linked as similar at the end of this one too.

I found it especially funny that this guy plays up his whole former drug/alcohol/occult "testimony" to lend credibility to his wacky claims of spiritual warfare knowledge. Also, one of the other video clips claims that he got himself pierced and tattooed AFTER he went into ministry to try and appeal to "the kids."

His whole thing reminds me of the Brownsville hoopla that my own former church was fairly taken with some years ago. In fact, I made the pilgrimage down to Florida myself on two seperate weeklong trips trying to get the "fire."

Does it not strke their followers that every time one of these movements pop up the leaders whole-heartedly believe that theirs is the revival that will usher in the end of the age and Christ's return - only to fizzle after a few years??

Sheesh...

I didn't realize when I posted this, but apparently this thing looks to be fairly big. Apparently my parents church has members that have made the pilgrimage. Looks like it's catching on like the Brownsville/Toronto thing did in the past.

I guess Smith Wigglesworth was also a violent healer. It's a gimmick that has worked before.
